On June 8, the first industrial application device of the third generation aromatics technology of Sinopec, the 890,000 tons/year aromatics joint device of Jiujiang Petrochemical, was successfully operated and produced qualified products. The device adopts the third generation aromatics technology with the independent intellectual property rights of Sinopec, which has the advantages of low investment cost, low energy consumption and high catalyst application efficiency. The energy consumption of the device is less than 220 kg standard oil/ton PX, which reduces energy consumption by 30% compared with similar aromatics devices, reaching the international leading level.

As key projects of national industrial distribution, the Jiujiang petrochemical aromatics project is the first large aromatics project in central region of our country. Its completion and production will play an important role in promoting the rise of central region and accelerating the development of the integrated industrial chain of refining and petrochemical; Its successful driving also indicates that the complete technologies of aromatics in our country reach the international leading level, significantly improve the technological level and international competitive ability of aromatics production in our country, and will lay the foundation for building local industrial cluster of over billions of yuan.
